The opening of Umeå City light Railjam together with the Umeå light festival is done. The interactive lightbox which Rich and I made was lighting up nicely in the autumn darkness.

Just finished an evening workshop held by Jennifer Brook (@jenniferbrook) at HumlabX. Great presentation of Jennifer’s workflow while developing for mobile devices with tools and advice on how to create prototypes where the important subtleties of interaction don’t get lost in the development.
Shared digital layer
Looking at ways to create a printed portfolio. The contrast of a bound book towards the digital portfolio is great and works as a nice point for discussion when meeting people.
As the book would be created from the site content it would be interesting to try to bind the printed book to the online content through a digital layer. This layer could enrich the experience without excluding those who did not want to exploit the digital layer.
Wondering about the best way to implement a comment system on the site gave some ideas of using this technology for a comment/feedback system which is shared online and in the printed material through the augmented reality.
